Rachel Helen offers handmade unique precious metal jewellery.
Inspiration for her work comes from the natural world, antique jewellery and the shape and form of the body. Designs are often led by a particular interest either from herself or that of a client which allows the designs to evolve, often utilising the capabilities of current and new technologies as well as drawing from years of traditional silversmithing.
Each collection created incorporates the use of the wide range of precious metals available combined with the myriad of diamonds & gemstones available to today’s modern jewellery makers. Ethical choices in materials is at the forefront of Rachel Helen Jewellery with designs registered with the Fairtrade Foundation for the use of Fairtrade Gold.
Locally sourced and British suppliers is also an important part of the business ethics, where possible we ensure that British based suppliers are used.
Rachel Helen is a registered member of the National Association of Jewellers.
A self taught designer, Rachel began making jewellery at the age of 13. After heading down a different creative path at university she decided to take on evening classes in silversmithing & jewellery design. Following several years of training she was offered a position working full time with a traditional jeweller in Derby.
In 2006 Rachel moved on to establish Rachel Helen Designs and has continued to develop her skills and expertise.
